What is shi-animal-atsu?

Shi-animal-atsu is a style of shiatsu, a form of acupressure, a sister therapy to acupuncture. Instead of needles we use our hands, using pressure, stretches and articulations to bring about beneficial changes.

How does shi-animal-atsu work?

Shi-animal-atsu is profound at putting elasticity into muscles and balancing the animals body as a whole. It alleviates muscle soreness and deterioration, pain and stiffness so preventing muscle, ligament and tendon problems to include behavioural imbalances. Our bodies as well as our animals have a natural source of energy that flows along energy pathways called ‘Meridian’ lines, these Meridian lines relate to all major organ functions.

The Meridians take energy away from muscle to organ and vice versa. If a Meridian becomes damaged either by accident, birth, over work or just general wear and tear, then the energy flow becomes weak or non existent. This is repaired by gently stimulating the bodies natural healing, stretching the meridian line and pressing the energy points helping the body to become aware of its own imbalances.

What are the benefits of shi-animal-atsu?

Among the many benefits are: early recognition and treatment of problems before they escalate: treatment and elimination of musculo-skeletal poblems such as chronic and subtle disease to include stiffness, maintaining suppleness, reducing susceptibility to injury, maximising physical potentials, activating the immune system, stimulating the circulation, the nervous system and the release of hormones, including endorphins, the bodies own painkiller, alleviating emotional problems such as stress, frustration, anger, nervousness and anxiety.
